Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule (ROPS)

By statute, the Clayton Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency is responsible for preparing a Recognized Obligation Payments Schedule (ROPS) in a manner specified by the California Department of Finance (DOF), listing the enforceable obligations of the former Redevelopment Agency and their source of payment.  Pursuant to California Health and Safety Code section 34177(o)(1), the Successor Agency must submit an Oversight Board approved annual ROPS to the DOF and County Auditor Controller by February 1st of each year.  Thereafter, the DOF issues a Determination Letter by April 15th summarizing the results of its review and, if applicable, ordering adjustments to the underlying ROPS submittal.
