Responsibilities

Clayton’s Engineering Department provides support to the various City departments, implements the City’s Capital Improvement Program, administers and enforces the City’s Stormwater Management Program, administers the Geological Hazard Abatement District and various Assessment Districts, and performs engineering review for all private development projects. Capital Improvements Program

Implements the construction of City facilities and major maintenance projects.

Traffic and Transportation

Maintains safe and efficient mobility services for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles.

Assessment Districts and GHAD

Manages the various assessment districts and the Geological Hazard Abatement District.

Clean Water Program

Oversees compliance with federal and State laws to reduce pollutants entering the region’s waterways.
